Athletic scholarships are grants or awards of money that help you finance all or part of your university education. The amounts awarded can vary from as little as $500 to as much as $30,000. Athletic scholarships are granted to student-athletes in return for competing on a college's sports team.

An Oregon State University sophomore from Creswell has been awarded a Morris K. Udall Undergraduate Scholarship for his environmental stewardship.

Rhodes Scholarship awarded to University Of North Carolina senior.  Kate Harris, a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, has won a Rhodes Scholarship to attend Oxford University in 2006.

University Of Illinois At Springfield 3 graduate students in the Public Affairs Reporting program at the University of Illinois at Springfield – Rebecca O’Halloran, Crystal Lindell and Ann Sanner – have been named recipients of the James E. Armstrong Scholarships for 2005.

The University of Virginia's College at Wise is a public liberal arts college offering twenty seven majors, twenty seven minors, and twenty three teaching licensures. Degrees include Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

In it's first year TASS provided financial aid to about one thousand young athletes from over fifty different sports.

College coaches work hand in hand with the school's financial aid office. The first thing a coach does is see evaluate a athletes grades and circumstances to see if any other form of financial aid is available.

Scholarship searches can be done on the Internet, but don’t stop there. Visit the financial aid or student aid office at a local college. Pick up scholarship books at the library or bookstore.
